Job Description
Paraprofessional / Instructional Aide – 1:1 Support (Elementary, Special Education)
Location: Kelly Elementary School – Carlsbad, CA
Start Date: August 19, 2025
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 2:20 PM (follows school calendar)
Pay Range: $18-24/hr.
About the Role:
We are hiring a caring and dependable Paraprofessional (Instructional Aide) to provide 1:1 support for a 2nd grade student with Down syndrome in a small group special education (ESN) classroom.
What You’ll Do:

Support the student during the school day to ensure safety, engagement, and inclusion.

Assist with classroom activities, learning tasks, and daily routines.

Work closely with the classroom teacher and school staff to meet IEP goals.
About the Student:

2nd grader with Down syndrome.
-
No behavior concerns.

Needs extra academic support.
Qualifications:
-
Previous experience working with children or students with disabilities preferred.

Patient, reliable, and positive team player.

Able to follow teacher direction and communicate effectively with staff.
Compensation:

Hourly rate depends on experience.

Steady, school-day schedule (no nights or weekends).
