Job Description

Medical Administrative Assistant – On-Site Occupational Health Clinic
Location: Holtsville / Suffolk County NY  
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Project Dates: September 3 through September 29
Pay Rate: $20/hour
 Setting: On-site clinic (Occupational Health)


Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Administrative Assistant to join our on-site Occupational Health team in Holtsville, NY for a short-term assignment. The ideal candidate will support clinic operations by performing front desk, clerical, and patient-facing administrative duties in a fast-paced clinical setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and register patients upon arrival
  • Schedule appointments and manage daily calendars
  • Verify insurance and obtain necessary documentation
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records (EMR)
  • Support clinicians and nursing staff with documentation and coordination
  • Answer phones and route calls appropriately
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a medical office or clinic setting
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and basic medical terminology
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a clinical environment
  • Punctual, professional, and dependable
