Job Description

Position Summary:

The RN Supervisor is responsible for overseeing nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to residents in accordance with regulatory standards and facility policies. This leadership role supports clinical operations, promotes staff development, and fosters a compassionate care environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily nursing activities across units.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including DOH and CMS standards.
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
  • Conduct rounds to assess resident care and address concerns.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide direct nursing care when needed.
  • Participate in staff training, evaluations, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure satisfaction and continuity of care.

Qualifications:

  • Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings preferred. 
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of geriatric care.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
