Job Description
Part-Time Paraeducator / Behavioral Technician (Preschool Program)
Location: Solana Beach School District – District Office (309 N. Rios Ave, Solana Beach, CA)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM–1:30 PM (20 hours/week)
Pay Range: $20–$30 per hour (based on experience)
Are you passionate about supporting young learners and looking for a part-time schedule that fits your life? We’re hiring a caring and reliable Paraeducator or Behavioral Technician to support preschool students (ages 3–5) in our early learning program.
About the Role:
- Support preschool students with learning and behavioral needs
- Implement positive behavior strategies under the guidance of district staff
- Provide 1:1 and small-group assistance in the classroom
- Collaborate with teachers and specialists to create a nurturing, engaging environment
Who You Are:
- Energetic, patient, and compassionate
- Reliable and consistent in following through with student support plans
- Great fit for a parent or caregiver seeking part-time work during school hours
Requirements:
- Experience working with young children (preschool experience preferred)
- Background in education, child development, or behavioral health a plus
- Must pass background check and meet onboarding requirements
