Job Description
Special Education Teacher 2025-2026 School Year
Opportunities – Chicago – North Suburbs
- Responsible for providing academic, emotional and physical services to students who need support to thrive within the academic program of this therapeutic day school.
- Able to implement curriculum to meet standards, develop IEPs, support classroom assistants, collaborate with fellow teachers. Program may include students k-12.
- Monday-Friday. School hours.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Hold PEL as a LBS1. Prefer 1-2 yrs experience.
- Experience working collaboratively in a student-centered environment.
- 1-2 years’ experience a plus. May consider a new graduate..
- Credentials to be collected prior to and upon hire.
Work Hours:
- Follow school hours Monday-Friday; depending on the building’s hours.
Salary and Benefits:
- $43/hr for new grad; other salary based upon experience. Weekly pay.

- Continuing ed/materials fund available for full time employees.
