Job Description
RCM is hiring Substitute Teachers to support K–12 schools and districts. This is an in-person role providing classroom instruction during school hours.
Position Summary
Under the direction of the school leader, the Substitute Teacher provides classroom instruction and supervision in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Follows lesson plans, maintains a productive and orderly classroom environment, and supports student learning and engagement. May perform additional duties such as grading assignments, supervising students, and providing general classroom support as assigned by the school site. Assignments may vary by grade level, subject area, and school setting.

- Provides learning experiences and teaches the lessons of study prescribed by the classroom teacher or administrator.
- Develops and uses instructional materials suitable for verbal and/or visual instruction of students with wide range of mental, physical, and emotional maturity.
- Provides individual and group instruction designed to meet individual needs and motivate students.
- Establishes and maintains standards of student control required to achieve effective participation in all activities.
- Provides appropriate instruction and activities for students to meet school/ District policies goals and objectives.
- Follows school protocols and procedures.

Credential: Requirements are determined at the school level. All candidates must meet applicable school and state requirements, including successful completion of a background check and any required onboarding or training prior to assignment.
Education:
- High school diploma or higher required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Substitute teaching authorization, if required by state or district.
Experience:
- Experience working with children or in educational settings preferred.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Compensation: $135/daily
Schedule: School Year – As Needed (Daily and Long-Term Assignments Available)
