Position Overview
The Director, Office of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) serves as a key strategic and operational partner to the COO, supporting the development, coordination, and execution of organizational priorities across the campus. This role functions as an extension of the COO, helping translate strategic goals into actionable operational initiatives and ensuring effective implementation across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads and manages strategic and operational projects on behalf of the COO, including initiatives related to performance improvement, operational efficiency, service delivery, and organizational growth.
- Working closely with facility leadership and department heads, the Director helps drive accountability, monitor progress on key initiatives, and ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic and operational objectives.
- Manages the day-to-day operations of the Office of the COO, ensuring that priorities are coordinated effectively and that the COO is supported with timely information, analysis, and decision-support materials.
- Serves as a central liaison between the COO and operational leaders, facilitating communication, advancing cross-functional collaboration, and helping resolve issues that impact operational performance.
- Oversee administrative and financial processes within the Office of the COO, including monitoring budget-related documentation, reviewing and processing invoices, tracking expenses, and ensuring appropriate approvals and compliance with organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of executive-level support, preferably within a senior living facility or long-term care or healthcare environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills required to interact with diverse stakeholders.
