Job Description

Title: Deputy Chief Marketing & Brand Officer
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Salary Range: $274,000 – $294,000

Overview
A large, mission-driven healthcare organization is seeking a Deputy Chief Marketing & Brand Officer to play a key leadership role in advancing brand strategy, reputation, and growth. This individual will partner closely with executive leadership to shape and execute an integrated marketing and communications strategy that strengthens market presence, deepens community engagement, and drives measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Brand Management

  • Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy
  • Ensure brand consistency and strong positioning across all channels and touchpoints
  • Translate complex products/services into clear, differentiated value propositions

Campaigns, Growth & Engagement

  • Lead multi-channel marketing campaigns focused on acquisition, retention, and brand awareness
  • Develop audience insights using data, research, and analytics
  • Manage marketing calendars, campaign roadmaps, and execution timelines

Communications & Media

  • Oversee enterprise-wide messaging, including digital platforms and social media
  • Lead media relations, PR strategy, and crisis communications
  • Support executive visibility, thought leadership, and internal communications

Digital, Product & Experiential Marketing

  • Oversee digital marketing strategy, including content, UX, and campaign performance
  • Lead experiential marketing initiatives and community engagement efforts
  • Build product marketing infrastructure (collateral, guides, landing pages, etc.)

Marketing Technology & Analytics

  • Provide leadership over CRM and marketing automation tools (Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred)
  • Drive audience segmentation, personalization, and lifecycle marketing strategies
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and data governance standards

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing and communications team
  • Manage agency partners and vendors
  • Contribute to enterprise-wide strategic planning and decision-making

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
  • 10+ years of senior-level marketing and communications experience
  • 10+ years of leadership/people management experience
  • Experience in healthcare, health insurance, or a highly regulated industry strongly preferred
  • Proven success with CRM-driven marketing strategies and digital transformation
  • Strong executive presence, communication, and strategic thinking skills
