Job Description

Job Title: Pharmacy Manager – Hematology/Oncology
Compensation
Salary Range: $160,000 – $180,000 per year

Position Summary
As a Pharmacy Manager – Hematology/Oncology, you will provide operational, clinical, and strategic leadership within a leading academic medical center. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality oncology pharmacy services, regulatory compliance, staff development, and patient safety. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize medication management and drive continuous improvement in oncology care.

Responsibilities

  • Shift details: Full-Time, Day Shift
  • Hours per week: 40

Key Duties:

  • Oversee daily Hematology/Oncology pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Lead, mentor, and develop pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, residents, and support personnel
  • Manage medication-use processes, including procurement, preparation, storage, and distribution of oncology therapies
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and leadership to enhance clinical outcomes and optimize patient care
  • Drive quality improvement, medication safety initiatives, and strategic planning within the department

Requirements
Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
  • Preferred (if applicable): Advanced Degree (Master’s, MBA, or similar)

Licenses & Certifications

  • Required: Licensed Pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts by hire date
  • Additional certifications (if applicable): Completion of PGY1/PGY2 residency or equivalent experience

Skills:

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and team development skills
  • In-depth knowledge of oncology pharmacy practices and medication management
  • Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment
