Job Description

RCM Healthcare is looking for a 4 day per week school based Physical Therapist to work with students at the school location in Broomall, PA.  Immediate interviews

Job Title: School-Based Physical Therapist – Low Incidence
Compensation –  Hourly Rate: $50.00-$55.00per hour
Location: Broomall, Pennsylvania
Onsite – School-Based

Position Summary
As a School-Based Physical Therapist serving low-incidence students, you will provide specialized evaluations, direct therapy services, and consultation to support students with significant physical, neurological, and multiple disabilities. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary educational teams to develop and implement individualized services that promote student access to the educational environment and support participation in school-based activities. Responsibilities

  • Hours per week: 4 days per week
  • Contract length: 2026/2027 school year

Key Duties

  • Conduct educationally relevant physical therapy evaluations to identify barriers impacting student access to the school environment and curriculum.
  • Develop measurable IEP goals and provide direct physical therapy services focused on functional mobility, positioning, and participation in educational activities.
  • Assess, fit, and train staff on adaptive equipment including wheelchairs, gait trainers, standers, and specialized seating systems.
  • Consult with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families regarding safe transfers, positioning, mobility, and classroom accommodations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, service logs, progress reports, and re-evaluations in compliance with IDEA and Pennsylvania state regulations.

Requirements
Education

  • Required: Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Required: Active Pennsylvania Physical Therapist License.
  • Additional Certifications: Current Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check, and FBI Fingerprint Clearance.

Skills

  • Knowledge of IDEA regulations, IEP development, and school-based documentation requirements.
  • Experience working with pediatric students with severe physical, neurological, and multiple disabilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with multidisciplinary educational teams.
  • Experience with adaptive equipment, positioning, mobility training, and safe transfer techniques.
