Multiple School-based Behavior Interventionist job openings – Inglewood, CA
Behavior Interventionist (Multiple Openings) – Inglewood, CA
We are actively hiring multiple Behavior Interventionists to support students across various grade levels in the Inglewood, CA area. Positions are full-time and available for the remainder of the current school year with opportunities to continue into the 2025–2026 school year.
Behavior Interventionist Position Details:

Schedule: Full-time; start and end times vary depending on grade level assignment

Compensation: $20–$28 per hour, based on experience and skill set

Caseload: Students with a wide range of behavioral, social, and emotional needs
Behavior Interventionist Essential Responsibilities:
-
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under the direction of credentialed staff and behavior specialists
-
Provide 1:1 and small group behavioral support to students throughout the school day
-
Monitor student behavior and track data consistently to inform progress and intervention strategies
-
Utilize evidence-based strategies to support positive behavioral changes, such as reinforcement systems, token economies, and de-escalation techniques

Support students during transitions between activities, classes, and physical locations
-
Apply proactive behavior management strategies to prevent escalations
-
Assist students in developing skills in areas such as emotional regulation, communication, social interaction, task initiation, and conflict resolution

Participate in behavior team meetings and share observations and input regarding student progress (as needed/requested)

Implement crisis prevention and intervention strategies when necessary, following all safety protocols

Collaborate closely with teachers, school psychologists, BCBA supervisors, and support staff to align behavioral strategies and ensure consistent implementation across settings

Maintain detailed, confidential records of student incidents, behavior logs, and intervention outcomes

Build positive relationships with students while maintaining professional boundaries

Support classroom instruction by reinforcing academic, social, and adaptive skill development goals

Attend training sessions and professional development as required to stay current on best practices and safety procedures
Behavior Interventionist Qualifications:
-
Previous experience working with students with behavioral challenges, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), emotional disturbances, or other special needs preferred
- Training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), crisis intervention (CPI, Pro-ACT, or similar) is a plus
- If you are not currently CPI trained, training will be provided
Ability to remain calm, patient, and solution-focused under pressure
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to take direction and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred
