Job Description
SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER LBS1
We are partnering with a south suburban Chicago Suburban School program to find an outstanding LBS1 (Special Education Teachers) for the 2024-2025 school year.
Co-Teach this High School Classroom with an SLP.
Responsibilities:
*Special Education teacher will be assigned to a HS self contained classroom, co teaching with an SLP.
*Students present primarliy with ASD.
*Monday-Friday as per school schedule.
Qualifications:
* Hold Illinois PEL (Professional Educator License) with LBS1 certification.
*Experience working collaboratively in a student-centered environment.
*1-2 years’ experience a plus, but will mentor new grad!
*Credentials to be collected prior to and upon hire.
Work Hours:
*Follow school hours Monday-Friday; depending on the building’s hours.
*@35 hours/week for the regular school year.
Salary and Benefits:
*$44/hr for new grad, other salary based upon experience. Weekly pay.
*Full time employees eligible for: Medical, dental, vision, Long/short term disability, Life Insurance, 401k, Flexible and Child Care Spending Accounts. Paid Time off and sick time accrued. Virtual healthcare assistance available. Some benefits offered for part time employees.
*Up to $500 of continuing ed/materials fund available for full time employees.
