Training Coordinator
Compensation $70,000

Overview:
The Training Coordinator works with Human Resources and Management to identify training requirements, institute plans for training new and existing employees, and prepare, facilitate, monitor, evaluate and document training activities across the organization. The incumbent assists with the coordination and delivery of the New Hire onboarding program to ensure that it facilitates and enhances the employee experience and cultivates belonging for employees. The Training Coordinator will play a pivotal role in developing more successful employees, increased engagement and retention.
 
This is a full-time in person position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand
 
Responsibilities:

  •  
  • In collaboration with the Vice President and Assistant Vice President of Human Resources, oversee and support training initiatives and projects, including content development, scheduling, in-person delivery, E-learning, feedback and follow up.
  • Collaborate and partner with subject matter experts (i.e. leadership and department heads) to identity employee training needs and knowledge gaps for new and existing employees.
  • Source in-person and E-learning opportunities and software to support current training needs and as training need arises.
  • Assist in planning, creating and implementing each year’s  training courses and materials for each department
  • Map out annual training plans for management, team members and individual employees
  • Prepare and deliver training courses
  • Track and create reports on outcomes of all training and maintain training records in the Learning Management System (Relias).
  • Organize, develop, or source training programs to meet specific training needs
  • Work in collaboration with hiring managers and onboarding specialist to maintain and coordinate new employee onboarding and facilitates a sense of belonging for all employees
  • In collaboration with the Assistant VP of HR and the Director of Talent Acquisition, prepare and conduct New Employee Orientation.
  • Ensure that all new hires are enrolled in the New Hire Compliance Trainings and that they are completed in the time specified.
  • In collaboration with the Assistant Vice President Human Resources and the Director of Talent Acquisition, coordinate and oversee the New Hire 30/60/90 day feedback and follow up response
  • Assist with the Annual Mandatory Compliance trainings, including maintaining up to date records of who is due, following up with management as needed to ensure completion.
  • Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training, on-the-job coaching.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  •  
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience in training and curriculum development.
  • Knowledge of adult instructional and learning theory and principles
  • Experience delivering training to employees at all levels.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in videoconferencing systems, employer intranets and cloud-based team communication software and apps such as Google Docs, Trello and Slack
  • Knowledge of learning management systems
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office/Suite.
  • A warm, engaging, accessible style

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Certification such as ASTD (American Society for Training and Development)
