Job Description
RCM Health Care Services is seeking to fill a Special Education Teacher position to start January 8, 2024 for a school district in Lennox, California.
POSITION DETAILS:
- Full-Time for a total of 7.5 hours/day.
- The class is a Special Day Class with Moderate/Severe students from K-5th grade.
- There are a total of 9 students in the class
- There are 4 Instructional Aides in the class
- School hours are 7:45 am to 3:15 pm
ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates as a member in the assessment of learning needs and the development of an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) for the students identified with disabilities.
- Develops / modifies lesson plans with short-term objectives that will enable students to meet their annual goals as determined by the IEP Team.
- Coordinates specialized academic instruction in the specific skill areas identified in the student’s IEP.
- Assists school staff in providing students with successful opportunities in the least restrictive environment throughout the school day.
- Conducts on-going assessment and periodically gives feedback to parents, teachers and other IEP Team members regarding the student’s progress.
- Partner with other school staff to ensure success of all students within the classroom
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possession of a valid CA Education Specialist Instruction Credential
- Three years of teaching experience desirable
COMPENSATION:
- The position offers competitive salary and comprehensive benefits with a range of $40-$58/hour based on skills and experience
