Job Description
Deaf and Hard of Hearing Specialists
We are partnering with school programs near Marion Counties to hire experienced Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialists for full time opportunities during the 2024-25 school year.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
*The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Specialist provides assessment, consultation, technical assistance, and/or direct instruction for children and students who are deaf or hard of hearing and who are eligible for WESD Regional services. *Bilingual ASL (American Sign Language) preferred.
*Remain knowledgeable of state and federal special education requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS: *Masters degree. Completion of program in education for Deaf/HOH as required by Oregon TSPC. *Oregon Teacher’s License w/ Deaf/Hard of Hearing Endorsement.
*ASL competency. *General Ed experience preferred. May consider new grad.
