Job Description

School Social Worker or School Counselor or Psychologist needed  for North Suburban School District.

We are partnering with a north  suburban Chicago school program to find an outstanding  Social Worker/School Counselor/Psychologist for  the 2024-2025 school year. PEL required.   1 Full time and 1 Part time position available.

 Responsibilities:.
School Social Worker / Counselor / School Psychologist Part time will help transistion program  students whose social/emotional and behavioral needs impact school performance. Full time will work in a therapuetic day program. School social workers assist students through early identification, prevention, intervention, counseling and support. 
*  IEP meetings, individual case study evaluations, functional behavioral analysis and behavior intervention plans. 
* Consultation with teachers, parents, and administrators as well as provide social skill groups utilizing a social emotional curriculum designed for low-incidence populations. 
*Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
*School social workers (Masters Degree in Social Work – MSW). Holds  a Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Work k-12 endorsement.
*School counselor. Holds a Professional Educator License (PEL) or an Educator License with Stipulations (ELS) with a School Support Personnel Endorsement in the area of School Counselor (formerly Guidance).
*School Psych. Holds a Professional Educator License (PEL). 

*Experience working collaboratively in a student-centered environment.
*1-2 years’ experience a plus. Will consider a new grad with appropriate clinical experience. CF may apply.
*Credentials to be collected prior to and upon hire.

Work Hours:
*Follow school hours Monday-Friday. Individual schools may have different building hours. Part time: 3 days a week. 
 
Salary and Benefits:
*$42/hr for new grad, other salary based upon experience. Weekly pay.
