Job Description

Job Title: Registered Radiologist Assistant (RRA/RPA)
Location: Boston, MA
Position Type: Full-Time
Compensation:

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Radiologist Assistant (RRA/RPA) to join our client’s Radiology Administration team. This position reports to the Section Chief of Body and plays a pivotal role in enhancing patient care by supporting radiologists in a diagnostic imaging environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnostic radiology, including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound procedures, and will act as a key liaison between referring services, radiologists, and patients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide radiology healthcare services under the supervision of an attending radiologist.
  • Perform routine fluoroscopy examinations and specialized imaging procedures, including contrast media administration and equipment operation.
  • Assist in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as drainages, biopsies, lumbar punctures, and myelography.
  • Evaluate images for completeness and diagnostic quality, and scribe preliminary reports for review by radiologists.
  • Obtain patient history, conduct assessments, and obtain required consents.
  • Coordinate patient schedules and protocol CT and fluoroscopy exams.
  • Oversee onboarding and training of new RRAs and help maintain departmental programs.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with policy updates.
  • Communicate findings to patients and their healthcare providers.
  • Maintain imaging equipment and manage imaging supplies and contrast.
  • Adhere to all RESPECT behavioral standards.

Qualifications:
Education:

  • Master’s degree in Registered Radiologist Assistant/Health Sciences.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Current BLS-CPR and ACLS certifications.
  • Graduate of an ACR/ARRT-approved RA program.
  • Licensed RRA/RPA and radiologic technologist in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Active registration with ARRT and/or CBRPA in good standing.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in diagnostic radiology, including scribing plain films, ultrasounds, fluoroscopy, and CT reports for review by a radiologist.

Skills:

  • Expert clinical judgment and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proficiency in handling complex verbal and written information.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
