Job Description

Job Title: LPN / Research Assistant – Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Practice
We are seeking a driven, goal-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join an upscale private cosmetic plastic surgery practice. This position offers a dynamic role combining clinical care, surgical assistance, and support in FDA clinical trials.
Job Overview
The role involves working closely with a leading plastic surgeon and study coordinator, performing LPN duties, coordinating surgical procedures, circulating in the OR, managing an IV program, and assisting with FDA study-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the physician during patient exams and minor procedures (e.g., suture removal, set-up for surgeries).
  • Coordinate surgical appointments and patient flow.
  • Perform front and back office duties, including answering phone calls and scheduling.
  • Sterilize equipment and ensure exam rooms are stocked and organized.
  • Administer IV therapy and manage the practice’s IV program.
  • Collect and log specimens, draw blood, and perform dressing changes.
  • Assist the study coordinator with clinical trial tasks, including:
    • Logging subject data for FDA studies.
    • Capturing and updating subject progress through specialized photography.
    • Handling blood and specimen requirements for FDA protocols.

Position Details

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM (flexibility to start at 8:30 AM or work past 5 PM occasionally).
  • Pay: $55.000-$69,500 annually.
  • Type: Full-time, in-person.

Qualifications

  • Current LPN certification with IV certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in plastic or cosmetic surgery.
  • 3+ years of experience as a medical assistant.
  • Strong clinical and organizational skills.
  • Professional, polished, and friendly demeanor with attention to personal grooming standards.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and manage time effectively.
  • Team player who thrives in a small, collaborative environment.
