Job Description
Position: Medical Assistant
Specialty/Unit Type: To be confirmed
Shifts Needed: Days
Location – City: Sacramento, California
Assignment Dates: 7/28-10/1 with potential of extensions
Medical Assistant Qualifications:
- 2 years of recent experience in area of unit type preferred
- Candidates must demonstrate ability to be flexible, adapt to fast paced environment, and remain professional during times of stress and change
- Drug screen and Background check

Medical Assistant Locations: New York, Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, Coney Island NY
Medical Assistant Pay Range:
- $21-22 per hour
Medical Assistant Job Responsibilities:
- Answer the telephones in a courteous and professional manner and respond to the telephone inquiries.
- Monitor the waiting room and assist patients with check-ins or check-outs and answer questions
- Registration and data entry of patient information and history
- Collect blood and urine samples according to policy and procedures
- Take, and record, patient vital signs
- Prepare patients for medical tests and examinations
- Ensure the patient flow is moving in an efficient manner
- Receive and convey messages in writing, verbally, and electronically
- Interact with clinicians, other health professionals and staff in courteous and professional manner
- Maintain the confidentiality of all Personal Health Information as dictated by HIPPA laws
- Complete charge tickets and ensure receipt on moneys
- Fax, scan and file documents
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities
- Any other administrative duties as directed by Management
