Job Description
Qualifications
- This position offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule and is ideal for an experienced school nurse or a dedicated RN seeking a transition into the school setting
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio
- Pupil Services License (required)
- A temporary Pupil Services License is acceptable
- Candidates must be willing to obtain this license if they do not currently have it
- Experience in a school setting is preferred, but not required
- Must be comfortable working independently in a school environment
Responsibilities
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Setting: K–8 school population
- Caseload: General nursing support across the student body
- Duration: Full academic year
- Administering daily and emergency medications
- Providing first aid and health care to students and staff
- Conducting routine vision and hearing screenings
- Monitoring immunization compliance
- Maintaining accurate health records
- Communicating with parents, guardians, and staff regarding student health concerns
- Ensuring compliance with Ohio school health regulations
