Job Description

One of the largest health systems in Brooklyn, NY, is currently seeking 2 experienced X-Ray Technologists to join their dedicated team. This is a Night role 12a-8p, Mon-Fri. Please apply for more info! Newly licensed are also encouraged to apply. 

X-Ray Technologist (Nights) – Union Benefits

Overview

Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs diagnostic radiological procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Performs and obtains high quality radiographs on all patients (i.e. In-Patients, Emergency Room Patients or Private Out Patients); recognizes the need for and utilizes lead sheeting where appropriate in accordance with departmental policies.
  • As required, transports patients to and from X-Ray rooms.
  • Assists the Radiologist with hard-to-move patients when requested.
  • Utilizes all X-ray equipment permitted within the scope of their license and within the realm of their training.
  • Patient care responsibilities are delivered with knowledge of patient growth and development and are appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
  • Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

Qualifications/Education:

  • Graduation from an AMA approved School of Radiology Technology; ARRT;
  • Current NYS license as a Registered Radiological Technologist or Registry eligible, must be obtained within 6 months from date of hire.
  • Current BCLS Certificate required (either American Red Cross or American Heart Association). New employees will be required to produce a current BCLS certificate within 6 months from date of hire.
  • Current ARRT Certificate is required (as per the terms of the Maimonides-1199 Agreement dated May 10, 2013).

Salary Range

$46.41-$56.17/Hr.
