A well-established and mission-driven health plan is seeking a Director of State Product Compliance to oversee compliance operations related to state-regulated health products. This is a full-time, remote opportunity offering a competitive salary and robust benefits package.
About the Role
This leadership position reports to the Vice President of Compliance and is responsible for managing a team of compliance professionals focused on regulatory compliance activities. The Director will monitor state regulations, oversee the implementation of guidance across various departments, support risk assessments and compliance work plans, and ensure timely response to regulatory issues.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the compliance function for a portfolio of state-regulated health products
• Supervise and mentor a team of compliance specialists
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and contribute to annual work plans
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures
• Review and respond to regulatory guidance and oversee implementation across business units
• Lead investigations and corrective action planning for identified compliance issues
• Prepare materials and reporting for internal compliance and oversight committees
• Partner with operational teams to ensure ongoing adherence to state regulatory requirements
• Oversee audit and monitoring activities for internal teams and delegated entities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree or JD preferred
• 5–8 years of experience in managed care, healthcare compliance, or health plan operations
• 3+ years in a leadership role overseeing regulatory or product compliance
• Deep familiarity with New York State regulations and health insurance products
• Strong project management, communication, and analytical skills
• Preferred certifications: CHC, CCEP
