Job Description

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Ann Arbor Public Schools

Location: Ann Arbor, MI
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7 hours per day (follows the Ann Arbor Public Schools calendar)
Pay: $20–$33/hour, based on experience

About the Role

RCM Healthcare Services is partnering with Ann Arbor Public Schools to hire full-time Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to support students receiving special education services. Positions are available across elementary, middle, and high school sites.
You’ll work as part of a collaborative district team dedicated to supporting students’ behavioral, academic, and social-emotional success.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide direct behavioral support to students in classroom, small-group, and one-to-one settings

  • Implement individualized behavior support plans developed by the district’s BCBA or behavior team

  • Collect and record daily data on student behavior and progress

  • Support students in building communication, social, and self-regulation skills

  • Collaborate closely with teachers, aides, and related service providers to ensure consistency across settings

  • Participate in team meetings and professional development as assigned

  • Follow district guidelines and maintain confidentiality at all times

  • Supervision and Support

  • Behavioral supervision is provided internally by the district’s BCBA team

  • RBTs receive ongoing support and guidance directly from Ann Arbor Public Schools’ special education staff

What We’re Looking For

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required (must be in good standing with the national certifying board)

  • Experience working with students with autism or other developmental disabilities preferred

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and data collection skills

  • High school diploma required; college coursework in psychology, education, or related field preferred
