Job Description

Large healthcare program with a location in the Bronx, that specializes in caring for the elderly population is currently seeking a Clinic Nurse to join their team. This is a staff position and you will be working onsite at their clinic Mon- Fri 8:30-5pm. This position comes with a strong salary and benefits package. Please apply for more details. 

Clinic Nurse (Registered Nurse) Bilingual Spanish- Bronx, NY  
Salary: 108k-112k

Responsibilities:

  • Assesses participant’s physical and functional needs, along with psychosocial status and needs, utilizing professional knowledge, skills of observations and interviewing skills. 
  • Documents change in the participant’s condition noted in clinic and inform appropriate care members.
  • Regularly informs the interdisciplinary team of the medical, functional, and psychosocial condition of each participant. 
  • Assumes responsibility for continued professional growth, such as in-service programs. 
  • Responsible for day to day operation and activities of the clinic
  • Responsible to ensure that clinical procedures requested are performed in the appropriate time frame
  • Interface with transportation companies to ensure residents will be transported to appointments.
  • Deal effectively, professionally and tactfully with residents and families. ( add participant instead of resident
  • Perform TB test or QuantiFERON blood test for employees when indicated
  • Administer flu and COVID to employees when needed.
  • Administer influenza, pneumonia, hepatitis and PPD to participants
  • Demonstrates the ability to recognize priorities in organization of workflow. Able to perform duties independently with minimal need for direct supervision.
  • Responsible for tracking and documenting PHS for participants
  • Responsible for daily and weekly logs in clinic.
  • Responsible for ensuring any item that is expiring is reordered
  • Notify nurse manager or Program Director when equipment not working properly.
  • Ensure steady follow of clinic
  • Coordinate with scheduler when a ppt is due to be seen in clinic.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Current NY State Registered Nurse License
  • Bilingual Spanish Required
  • Experience with Blood Draws

Education:

  • Associate Degree
  • BSN Preferred
