Job Description

One of the top and most well known hospitals located in Brooklyn, NY, is currently seeking and experienced Nurse Manager Midwife to join their amazing and dedicated team. This role is Mon- Fri and comes with a very strong compensation and benefits package. Please apply for more details! 

NURSE MANAGER – MIDWIFERY 
FULL TIME / MONDAY – FRIDAY

Under the direction of the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Manager of the Midwifery Service functions as the manager of the Midwife service and as such is responsible for the overall development of the Midwifery Service and for coordinating all the ongoing activities of the service.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in arts or science with specialization in Midwifery required.
  • Current NYS licensure as a Certified Midwife (CM), Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) or Licensed Midwife (LM) required.
  • RN licensure required.
  • Certification in Midwifery by the American College of Nurse Midwives.
  • Current DEA number for prescriptive privileges required.
  • Maintain clinical competence/skills through CME and attendance at in-service conferences
    (60 CEUs per 2 years as required for recredentialing).

  • At least 7 years of midwifery experience, including at least 2 years of supervisory experience required.
  • Good oral and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills.
  • Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position.

Salary range: $180k – $190k
