Supervisor – Home Based Crisis Intervention Program
This is a compelling leadership opportunity for a clinician looking to make a high-impact, community-based difference in South Queens. As the Supervisor for the Home-Based Crisis Intervention (HBCI) Program, you would be at the forefront of preventing pediatric hospitalizations and stabilizing families in acute distress.
The Home-Based Crisis Intervention (HBCI) Program provides intensive, short-term crisis intervention and family education services for children ages 5–20. The goal: to stabilize acute psychiatric crises and prevent hospitalization. In partnership with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, our mobile, in-home team delivers services including crisis response, treatment planning, psychoeducation, therapy, case management, and community referrals.

Role Snapshot

  • Compensation: $95,000 – $110,000 (Full-Time)
  • Schedule: Days (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
  • Location: Queens, NY (Requires local travel)
  • Population: Children and youth ages 5–20 and their families.

Core Responsibilities
This role balances clinical oversight with operational leadership:

  • Clinical Supervision: Providing direct case consultation and “side-by-side” field visits to support staff in the home environment.
  • Operational Management: Leading clinical meetings, managing day-to-day program flow, and collaborating with the Program Director on strategic growth.
  • Community Engagement: Acting as the face of the program at community functions and maintaining outreach networks.

Key Qualifications
The hospital is looking for a licensed professional who is culturally and linguistically equipped for the community:

  • Licensure: Must hold a valid NYS license (LCSW, LMSW, Psychologist, LMHC, LMFT, or LCAT).
  • Language: Bilingual in Spanish is required.
  • Technical Literacy: Proficiency in EHR systems and mental health screening tools like ACES and the Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale.
  • Mobility: A valid NYS Driver’s license is essential for field visits.
