Job Description
DATA ENGINEER – SQL / HEALTHCARE DATA
Compensation
Salary Range: $120,000 to $130,000
Location: New York, NY – Hybrid Opportunity ( 3 days a week Remote and 2 days in NYC office)
Positions Summary
A growing healthcare organization is seeking a Data Engineer with strong SQL Server and healthcare data experience to support ETL development, analytics, and reporting initiatives.
Responsibilities
Schedule / Shift: Monday through Friday, Business Hours
Key Duties:
- Develop and maintain SQL Server ETL processes and reporting workflows
- Create stored procedures, functions, views, and SSIS packages
- Support operational and regulatory reporting initiatives
- Work with healthcare claims, enrollment, and provider data
- Collaborate with technical and business teams on reporting and analytics projects
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Database Management, or related field
Skills:
- 5+ years of SQL Server development experience
- Strong TSQL and SSIS skills
- Experience working with healthcare data environments
- Familiarity with BI/reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Knowledge of EDI transactions (837/834) is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
