Job Description
Speech Language Pathologist – ESY – Part Time, School Based
Location: Linwood, NJ 08221
Schedule: ESY 7/6/2026 – 7/30/2026. 8am-12pm, Mon-Thurs
Setting: In person services at a charter school
Compensation: $60-$70/hour, based on experience
RCM Health Care is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist to provide in person services to high school students for an ESY, at school location in Linwood, NJ The Speech Language Pathologist will provide evaluation, therapy, consultation, and case management services to students with speech, language, communication, and hearing disorders. This role supports students in meeting New Jersey Student Learning Standards through individualized educational programming and collaborative support services.
Responsibilities
Schedule / Shift
- In person services at the school location
- ESY Program – 7/6/26 – 7/30/26
- Part time school-based schedule – 8am-12pm Mon-Thurs
Key Duties
- Provide comprehensive speech, language, and hearing services in accordance with N.J.A.C. 6A:14 and district procedures
- Conduct evaluations, screenings, and diagnostic assessments for students with communication disorders
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy plans for students requiring speech and language services
- Deliver therapy services in individual and small group settings
- Participate on the Child Study Team and attend annual reviews, staffing conferences, and IEP meetings
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of evaluations, therapy sessions, student progress, and compliance records
- Consult with teachers, parents, administrators, and outside agencies regarding student needs and intervention strategies
- Provide recommendations for assistive technology and augmentative communication evaluations when appropriate
- Coordinate with outside agencies providing audiological services and Teacher of the Deaf consultation
- Conduct parent and teacher conferences to support student progress and communication development
- Provide classroom consultation, staff development, and educational support regarding speech and language disorders
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication devices and intervention programs
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and information in accordance with legal requirements
- Attend required staff meetings, professional development activities, and community programs
- Adhere to New Jersey school law, Board of Education policies, and professional ethical standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal or Director of Special Education
Requirements
Education
- Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field required
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid New Jersey educational services certificate with Speech Language Specialist endorsement required
- Must meet all NJDOE certification requirements
- Criminal record clearance required
- Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status required
- Must meet health requirements in accordance with applicable regulations
Skills
- Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology, child development, assessment, and special education regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with students, parents, staff, administration, and community agencies
- Proficiency with technology, assistive communication devices, and educational tools
