Job Description

RCM Healthcare is looking for a full time Special Education Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year, working with high school students.  Location is in Bromall, PA

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $45.00 per hour

Location: Broomall, PA Onsite/in person

Position Summary
As a Special Education Teacher, you will provide individualized instruction and educational support to students with disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Working within a school-based setting, you will create an inclusive learning environment that promotes academic achievement, social-emotional growth, and independence while collaborating with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities
Schedule / Shift

  • Shift details: 2026/2027 school year
  • Hours per week: 8am-3:30pm = 35-37.5 hours per week

Key Duties

  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with students' IEP goals and state curriculum standards.
  • Provide instruction in academic, social, behavioral, and daily living skills within the least restrictive environment.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success.
  • Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings and required reporting.
  • Supervise students in the classroom and other assigned settings while maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.

Requirements
Education

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related education field.
  • Preferred (if applicable): Dual certification in Special Education and a content area.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Required: Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Special Education.
  • Additional certifications (if applicable): Appropriate content area certification preferred.

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and team-building abilities.
  • Proficiency with computers and educational software programs.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently while remaining flexible and reliable.
  • Experience working with students with special needs preferred.
