Special Education Teacher, ASD/Self Contained
Compensation Range: $48-53/hour

Location:  Rochester, MI; Onsite – School Setting

Position Summary
As an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Self-Contained Teacher, you will provide specialized, highly structured instruction and functional support for students with autism in a dedicated classroom setting. ASD Teachers in the self-contained classroom design individualized curricula, manage behavior intervention plans, and oversee classroom support staff. Key Duties
Requirements

• Comply with timelines, laws and regulations that relate to district, state, federal policies and procedures.
• Monitor and document student progress on IEP goals.
• Collaborate with all service providers, and other staff to develop instruction and support goals that are designed to meet the learning needs of students.
• Compile and submit monthly Medicaid reports.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual students.
• Participate in building meetings as directed by the building principal.
• Performs other duties as requested by the Assistant Superintendent or Building Principal.

Licenses & Certifications

• Must hold a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
• Must have experience working with ASD students
• Endorsement in Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred but not required
