Job Description

Special Education Teacher

Hourly Rate: $50-55/hr
Location: Green Bay, WI; Onsite – School Setting

Position Summary
RCM Healthcare Services is seeking a Special Education Teachers for the 2026/2027 school year. This is an on-site opportunity with 4 openings across multiple programs (Early Childhood, Autism Focus, Intellectual Disabilities, and Cross Categorical).

Job Summary
In this role, you'll provide specialized instruction and case management support to students with diverse learning needs. You'll collaborate closely with general education staff, related service providers, administrators, and families to ensure students receive appropriate services aligned to IEP goals and district expectations.

Position Details:

  • Role: Special Education Teacher (4 openings)
  • Location: On-site (specific campus varies by opening)
  • Schedule: 37.5 hours/week
  • School Year: 2026/2027
  • Pay: $51.50-$54.50/hour
  • Openings (4):
    1. Early Childhood Collaborative Special Ed Teacher
      • Ages/Caseload: Ages 3-5 (up to 8 students per AM/PM session)
      • License: WI ECSE License
    2. Autism Focus Teacher
      • Ages/Caseload: Ages 5-12 (up to 8 students)
      • License: WI DPI Sped EC-MC or MC-EA
    3. ID Teacher (temporary assignment)
      • Ages/Caseload: Ages 5-12 (up to 8 students)
      • Experience: behaviors/de-escalation; NVCI preferred; familiarity with workshop model; experience with reading/writing units of study preferred
      • License: WI DPI Sped EC-MC or MC-EA
    4. Cross Categorical Teacher –
      • Ages/Caseload: Ages 12-14 (15-18 students)
      • License: WI Cross Categorical SPED License
  • The teacher will provide specialized instruction and collaborate with school staff and families to support students with disabilities in accessing the curriculum and progressing toward their individualized goals.

Responsibilities
Key Duties

  • Provide specialized instruction based on students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized educational goals

  • Adapt instruction and classroom materials to support students with varying learning needs

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families

  • Implement accommodations and modifications that support access to the curriculum

  • Maintain student documentation and monitor academic and functional progress

  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions

  • Support classroom management and students’ behavioral and social-emotional development

Requirements
Education

  • Bachelor’s degree

Licenses & Certifications

  • Wisconsin Cross-Categorical Special Education teaching license appropriate to the assignment

  • Required school and state clearances must be completed prior to placement

Skills

  • Ability to provide individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring

  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams

  • No minimum years of experience listed in the district posting
