Job Title: Nurse Educator – ICU/CCU

Compensation 
Salary Range: $145,000 – $155,000 per year

Location: Queens, NY – Onsite

Position Summary

As a Nurse Educator – ICU/CCU, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing educational programs that support clinical excellence and professional development within critical care nursing services. Working closely with nursing leadership and fellow educators, you will ensure staff competency, support orientation programs, and promote evidence-based practices that align with organizational goals and patient care standards.

Key Duties:

• Plan and implement educational activities that support the organization’s mission, values, goals, and clinical priorities
• Collaborate with fellow Nurse Educators to develop, coordinate, and evaluate nursing orientation programs
• Participate in formal orientation and onboarding programs for new nursing employees
• Monitor staff competency through direct observation, collaboration with nursing leadership, and ongoing performance evaluation
• Educate staff on new equipment, technologies, and clinical practices while maintaining accurate training documentation and educational records

Requirements

Education

• Required: Master’s Degree in Nursing
• Preferred (if applicable): N/A

Licenses & Certifications

• Required:
  • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BCLS) Certification
• Additional certifications (if applicable): Certification in a critical care specialty preferred

Skills:

• Minimum of five years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Strong clinical expertise and teaching experience in acute care settings
• Excellent presentation, coaching, and staff development skills
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities
