Physician Assistant – SICU (Days/Night – 12 hr Flex Shift)
The Physician Assistant (PA) for the SICU (Surgical Intensive Care Unit) will collaborating with attending physicians to provide critical care to critically ill surgical patients, including managing their conditions, performing physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, administering medications, and coordinating treatment plans under the supervision of a supervising physician; essentially acting as an extension of the physician team in the SICU setting with a focus on complex post-surgical patient care.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited PA program.
Licensed by the NY State Department of Education Board certified by the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification for Physicians Assistant)
BCLS certification. ACLS certification if departmental requirement
Experience with ICU, SICU a strong plus
